About Us

Back in 1956, Clemente Rebelo immigrated to Canada from a small island in the Azores with nothing more than a suitcase and his small savings. In just two years, he opened his first bakery in downtown Toronto. Fifty years later, the Micaelense Home Bakery lives on, now under the careful guidance of Clemente’s son Tony. Even though the business has grown substantially, Tony Rebelo has never lost sight of the principles instilled in him by his father.
